Fortunato Dedication

On Thursday, May 1, 2014 the Bristol Sports Hall of Fame dedicated the John Fortunato Room at the Bristol Historical Society

John Fortunato was a driving force in the creation of the Bristol Sports Hall of Fame, with a vision of permanently honoring “the distinct contributions and achievements of Bristol’s sports heritage.” John served as the first vice-president of the Hall of Fame and was actively involved in all aspects of the Hall. In particular, John personally set up the display cases and placed the memorabilia in most of the exhibits currently on display at the Sports Hall of Fame room at the Bristol Historical Society. The Board of Directors believe that it is fitting and proper to dedicate the room in John’s name.
