The Bristol Sports Hall of Fame introduced its new website during its monthly meeting on Wednesday at the Bristol Public Library. The presentation was made by Tom Mazzarella, a director of the organization, with assistance from a fellow director, Hank Lodge, and Alex Donovan, the website builder who owns (a)Squared Studios in Middletown.

“We were playing with things to see what we could do,” said Mazzarella. “The stuff that Hank did and gave to Alex was amazing. Thank goodness we have Hank.”

During the presentation, questions were asked by the Hall of Fame directors who seemed quite interested with the website. Lodge, Donovan and Mazzarella combined to answer these questions.

“There are also things we have to do to compete the site,” Mazzarella said.
The site, in addition to showcasing the inductees, includes entries of all the events the Hall of Fame organizes annually, the Induction Program, the Jack Hines Scholar-Athlete Ceremony in honoring high school athletes who combined athletics and academics, the organization’s golf tournament, a Leadership Council Breakfast for future leaders of sports teams from the three high school in the city, and more.

In closing, Hank established the original website and did a great job and he’s one of the organization’s MVP’s.
