Dave Mills Receives The Spirit of Bristol Award

The Spirit of Bristol Award was awarded to Dave Mills, a former city councilman, a physical education teacher from 1964 to 2000 at Bristol Eastern High School and head coach of the school’s football team from 1965 to 1999. In 2003 he was inducted into the Bristol Sports Hall of Fame.

“Its obviously a tremendous honor to accept this award, based on some of the past recipients,” he said. “There are a lot of people who I’m honored to be in the company of. I congratulate the other honorees. Any one of them could be up here tonight. Bristol has so many things going for it, the best of which is people.”
