Bristol Girls Little League Softball receives BSHOF Grant

The Bristol Sports Hall of Fame recently awarded the Bristol Girls Little League Softball organization (BGLLS) a grant totaling $2,000.00. Bristol Sports Hall of Fame Board members presented BGLLS players with a ceremonial check, pictured above, on November 17, 2024. The grant funds will be used to replace the lights supporting the softball field at Rockwell Park with LED blubs in order to improve lighting and reduce the energy required to light the field.

Bristol Girls Little League Softball is a community softball program, under the Little League organization, dedicated to providing a premier softball experience for participants ages 4-16. In addition to on-field fundamentals and providing a competitive environment, BGLLS provides year-round opportunities to strengthen participants’ self-esteem and confidence.

Bristol Sports Hall of Fame is proud to provide grants to local 501©(3) organizations to support initiatives that honor, document and preserve distinctive contributions and achievements to the sports heritage of Bristol. Interested organizations are encouraged apply for a BSHOF grant using the online application.
