Born in Hardwick, VT Bart has been a Bristol resident most of his life. A multi-sport athlete, best known for his baseball ability.

Bart’s athletic career spanned Stafford elementary school, Edgewood Little League, The Bristol Pony League, Bristol Eastern High School, American Legion and Fairfield University. Bart was a member of the American Legion state championship team in 1966.

Bart went on to play baseball for the Bristol Collegians in the Connecticut Collegiate Summer Baseball League where he set the single-season strikeout record. He then played for the Bristol Cassins in both the collegiate and Greater Hartford Twilight Baseball leagues.

Bart later played for the Bristol Fradette/Phoenix teams in the Connecticut Men’s Senior Baseball League, winner of seven state titles, while he was voted “Pitcher of the Year” three times. During one span in the senior league, he won 32 consecutive games. He’s probably won more games than any other Bristol pitcher.
