A graduate of Patterson School, Gail swam for the Bristol Parks and the Plainville YMCA teams from 1967-1972.

She went on to play volleyball, basketball and softball at Bristol Eastern High School. During her senior year in 1975, Gail was a captain in both volleyball and basketball.

Following high school she played softball at Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) and later she played for the Bristol Women’s Slo-Pitch Softball League. Gail became the head coach of Bristol Eastern’s volleyball team in 1982. She stepped down after the 2005 season, after having won her third state championships.

In 23 years as head coach, her teams posted a record of 332-139, won five league championships and reached the finals of the state tournament six times. An avid golfer, Gail has won multiple Pequabuck Golf Club Women’s Championships and Bristol Women’s Golf titles.

Gail has coached teams for the Bristol Special Olympics and has been a National High School Athletic Coaches Association Region 1 Coach of the Year National Finalist on multiple occasions.
