These two sports-minded and popular brothers were known as “Big Wrinks” and “Little Wrinks,” respectively, and often played for the same clubs.

Both were outstanding three-sports athletes and were key football players for teams such as the West End Athletic Club during the 1920’s and 1930’s.

George played baseball for the Maple Ends and Supply team in the City League, as well as the Maple Ends and Rock Cuts.

Phil was a member of the 1944 New Departure C.I.O. “nine” when he belted a home run in Baltimore’s famed Municipal Stadium to win a tournament game.
