Stanley W. “Butch” Brzezicki’s service as a valuable volunteer in Bristol began during his teenage days in the 1930s at the Bristol Boys Club.
He was recognized on numerous occasions for his work as a swimming coach, water safety instructor and swimming program organizer at the facility for a period that spanned five decades.
He remained active in the sport as a competitor in the Senior Olympics and participated in a number of state and national competitions.
He served as Bristol Coordinator of the Connecticut Senior Olympics and was the city’s representative for the 1996 Olympic Torch Run.
